Baiyoke Tower II is a hotel skyscraper in the Ratchathewi district of Bangkok, completed in 1997 and rising about 304 metres, for many years the tallest building in Thailand. Near its top a public observation deck and a revolving roof platform give panoramic views over the dense sprawl of the capital, the Chao Phraya River and the surrounding plain. The revolving deck, exposed to the open air, slowly turns to take in the full horizon. It remains a well-known viewpoint above the busy garment district.
