Benjasiri Park is a compact green space beside a busy commercial avenue in central Bangkok, created in the early 1990s to honour a royal anniversary. Landscaped around a central pond, it displays a collection of contemporary Thai sculpture set among lawns and shade trees. Locals use its jogging track, outdoor gym and swimming pool, and skateboarders gather at its paved edges. Wedged between shopping malls and a metro station, it offers office workers and shoppers a quick escape into greenery in one of the city's densest districts.
