Dominating the Plaza de la Revolución in Havana, this memorial honors the writer and independence leader José Martí. A star-shaped tower rising more than one hundred meters, the tallest structure in the city, stands behind a large marble statue of Martí seated in a contemplative pose. Completed around 1958, the tower offers an observation deck with panoramic views, while a museum at its base explores Martí's life and the plaza's role in the Cuban Revolution. The vast square before it hosts major political rallies.
