Set in a roundabout on Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City, this bronze fountain depicts the Roman goddess Diana drawing her bow toward the sky. Created by sculptor Juan Fernando Olaguíbel and installed in 1942, the graceful nude figure caused a public scandal in its early years and was for a time fitted with a bronze loincloth before being restored to its original form. Water jets rise around the base at the center of a busy traffic circle. Illuminated at night, it is one of the most recognized landmarks along the boulevard.
