This hilltop lookout above Dunedin offers panoramic views over the city, harbour and peninsula, reached by road or walking track. At the summit stands a centennial memorial built in the 1940s to mark a hundred years of British settlement, featuring bronze figures and a fragment of the Stone of Scone set into the monument. The reserve is a popular spot for taking in the layout of the city and its harbour setting. Interpretive plaques explain the memorial's symbolism.
