One of the last two intact and functional sugar windmills in the Caribbean, this early 18th-century tower mill stands on a ridge in the parish of Saint Andrew. Restored by the Barbados National Trust, it retains its wooden machinery, sails, and grinding rollers that once crushed cane during the harvest season. On demonstration days the sails are rigged and the mill turns, offering a rare view of the technology that powered the island's plantation economy. Sweeping views reach across the Scotland District.
