New Mexico History Museum

Adjoining the historic Palace of the Governors, this modern museum expands the story of New Mexico from prehistoric peoples through Spanish colonization, the Santa Fe Trail, railroads, and statehood. Galleries display saddles, wagons, weavings, and photographs drawn from a vast archive, and a working print shop demonstrates early frontier presses. The museum interprets the region's Native, Hispanic, and Anglo histories together, including conflict and coexistence.
