A memorial and museum complex on Salvokop hill dedicated to those who died in South Africa's struggles for humanity and freedom. Opened from 2007, it blends indigenous landscaping, spiritual spaces and a Wall of Names listing tens of thousands of the fallen from slavery, colonial wars, the World Wars and apartheid. The Isivivane garden of remembrance gathers boulders from every province, and the museum narrates the region's history across billions of years. Paths wind through the hillside with views toward the Voortrekker Monument.
