The Berber Museum sits within the grounds of the Majorelle Garden in Marrakesh, occupying the former painting studio of the artist Jacques Majorelle. Opened in 2011, it displays a rich collection of Amazigh jewellery, textiles, carpets, weapons and household objects gathered from across Morocco, tracing the crafts of the country's Berber peoples. A darkened room lined with mirrors and points of light evokes a starlit sky above a display of silver ornaments. Set amid the famous cobalt-blue garden, it adds an ethnographic dimension.
