This large wooded park rising from the Bosphorus shore behind Çırağan was once the private grounds of the adjacent imperial palace. Laid out with winding paths, streams and ornamental ponds, it shelters mature trees, historic pavilions and greenhouses established under Ottoman rule. Two restored royal kiosks within the grounds now serve as cafés with sweeping views over the strait. A favourite retreat for city residents, the park offers shaded walks and picnic lawns close to the busy waterfront, preserving a green legacy of the former court.
