The Al Saleh Mosque is the largest and most modern mosque in Sana'a, completed in the 2000s on the southern side of the capital. Its six tall minarets and multiple domes cover a vast prayer space able to hold tens of thousands of worshippers, and its interior is finished with marble, carved wood, and elaborate lighting. Built in a style drawing on Yemeni and broader Islamic traditions, it also houses libraries and lecture halls. Visitors can take in the scale of the domed complex and its ornate courtyards.
