The historic seat of government in Kuwait City, an official palace on the seafront distinguished by its tiled clock tower and traditional Islamic detailing. Built in the early twentieth century and expanded since, it has served the ruling family and the state as a ceremonial and administrative centre. Its watchtower, decorated gates and mosaic finishes make it a recognisable landmark beside the corniche. Though largely closed to the public, its striking exterior keeps it central to the capital's identity.
