The Mim Mineral Museum, on the campus of Saint Joseph University in Beirut, houses one of the finest private mineral collections in the world. Its galleries display around fifteen hundred specimens from dozens of countries, chosen for their rarity, colour, and crystalline form. Opened in 2013, it arranges its stones in darkened rooms with dramatic lighting that highlights their geometry. Alongside the minerals it presents fossils and marine specimens found in Lebanon, a distinctive stop for those interested in geology.
