Arte Moris

Arte Moris is an art collective and cultural centre in Dili, established after independence to nurture a new generation of Timorese artists. Occupying a former quarantine building, it provides studios, exhibition space, and free training for painters, sculptors, and performers. Its grounds are dotted with murals, sculptures, and works that grapple with the nation's recent history of conflict and recovery. As one of the country's leading contemporary art institutions, it offers a window onto emerging Timorese creativity.
