This temple in the central district of the capital is admired for the exceptionally rich decoration of its main hall, whose facade and roof are covered in gilded stucco, coloured glass mosaic and finely worked relief carving. Founded several centuries ago and rebuilt over time, it stands close to other important monasteries in the old part of the city. The ornate golden entrance, glittering with inlaid glass, is especially striking in sunlight, and the temple remains an active place of everyday worship.
