Ghandruk is a large Gurung village on the flank of the Annapurna range, famous for its stone-paved streets, slate-roofed houses and close views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre. A key stop on popular short treks, it preserves a traditional layout climbing the hillside in tiers, with a small museum of Gurung culture. Many households run teahouses, and the community has long supplied soldiers to Gurkha regiments. Terraced fields fall away to the valley below.
