Phewa Lake is the second-largest lake in Nepal, situated immediately south of Pokhara city. The Tal Barahi temple occupies a small island near the eastern shore, accessible by wooden rowboat. The lake's northern end reflects the snow summits of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges under clear skies, a classic double-exposure photograph at dawn. The surrounding lakeside is lined with guesthouses, cafes, and boat-hire points that form the tourist centre of Pokhara.
