Located at Savar near Dhaka, this monument commemorates those who died in the 1971 Liberation War that led to Bangladesh's independence. Designed as a series of seven triangular planes rising to a shared apex, the towering concrete structure symbolises key phases of the national struggle. Set within landscaped grounds with reflecting pools and mass graves, it serves as the focal point for national remembrance ceremonies. Its stark, soaring geometry and solemn setting make it one of the most significant commemorative sites in the country.
