This tall commemorative tower in Lahore marks the site where, in 1940, the Lahore Resolution called for a separate homeland for the Muslims of British India. Completed in the late 1960s, the minaret rises above the surrounding Greater Iqbal Park, its base shaped like a blooming flower and its shaft blending Mughal and modern motifs. Visitors can view inscriptions of the resolution and climb toward observation levels for views across the old city.
