Ambedkar Memorial Park

This vast public park of red sandstone commemorates social reformers and leaders associated with the Dalit movement, above all B. R. Ambedkar. Built in the early 21st century, it features monumental domes, galleries, ranks of stone elephant statues and towering columns arranged along ceremonial axes. The scale and uniform sandstone give it a distinctive, austere grandeur unlike traditional Indian gardens. Fountains and broad plazas draw evening visitors, and the memorial has become one of Lucknow's most recognisable modern landmarks.
