A hillside residential quarter on the slopes below Naksan in central Seoul, transformed in the late 2000s when artists painted murals and installed sculptures across its steep alleys as part of an urban regeneration project. Flights of decorated stairs, flower-covered walls, and small galleries wind up toward the old fortress wall, offering sweeping views back over the city. Its rise as a photo destination has at times strained relations with residents, and some works have been removed, but it remains a colorful walk.

Where next?

The world is wide open.
