A revived scenic district in southeastern Xi'an occupying the ancient Qujiang area, a garden and lakeside resort favored by Tang-dynasty poets and courtiers. After centuries of neglect the pools and parklands were reconstructed, reviving Han-Tang landscaping around a restored central lake. Willow-fringed banks, pavilions and stone bridges recall verses written here more than a millennium ago, while adjacent parks stage cultural festivals. Visitors walk lakeside promenades, hire boats and pause at monuments to the old poets.
