This unusual Moscow Metro station sits inside the enclosed lower deck of a bridge spanning the Moskva River, giving passengers daylight views of the water and the Sparrow Hills as trains arrive. Originally opened in the 1950s, structural problems forced a long closure and a complete rebuild before it reopened in the early 2000s. Glass walls and small exhibition cases along the platform make it one of the few stations designed as a viewing gallery. Its riverside setting and natural light distinguish it from the usual underground halls.
