This is one of the oldest parks in Minsk, laid out in the nineteenth century on the bank of the Svislach and later given over to family recreation. Shaded avenues lead past flower beds, a large Ferris wheel offering views over the centre, a small observatory and fairground rides. Its position near the river and the main avenue makes it an easy green escape from the surrounding streets. Families gather here in the warmer months for the amusements, while the mature trees and riverside paths draw walkers year-round.
