This white twin-towered Baroque church crowns the upper town of Minsk above the river, serving as the principal Orthodox cathedral of the city. Built in the seventeenth century as part of a monastery, it has served several denominations over its long history before its present use. Its gleaming facade and paired towers are a defining feature of the old centre's skyline, and revered icons fill the decorated interior. Visitors come for the historic setting near the town hall.
