This neoclassical hall stands at the head of a triangular square in the heart of Vilnius's old town. Rebuilt in its present form at the end of the eighteenth century, its columned portico faces a plaza that has hosted markets, receptions and public gatherings for centuries. The building now serves as a venue for concerts, conferences and civic ceremonies. The surrounding square, lined with cafes and historic townhouses, forms one of the liveliest meeting points in the medieval centre, especially during festivals and summer events.
