This long sandy strand on the eastern edge of Tallinn is the capital's largest and most popular beach, backed by pine woods and dunes. Facing the Gulf of Finland, it draws swimmers and sunbathers in summer and walkers year round, with views back toward the old town skyline across the bay. The adjacent marina hosted sailing events during the 1980 Olympics. Cafes, sports courts and promenades line the shore, and the nearby river mouth offers boating and quieter waterside strolls.
