On the northern outskirts of Skopje, this long arcade of stone arches is one of only a few substantial ancient aqueducts surviving in the region. Marching across open fields, its double tier of rounded arches once carried water toward the city, though scholars still debate whether it dates from Roman, Byzantine, or Ottoman times. Weathered and partly ruined, the structure retains dozens of spans and makes an evocative sight against the surrounding countryside. It is protected as a cultural monument and a reminder of the area's layered history.
