Reykjavík City Hall

Reykjavík City Hall is a modern building set partly over the small lake at the centre of the Icelandic capital, its glass walls and concrete forms reflecting the water. Opened in the early 1990s, it houses the municipal administration and public spaces, including a large three-dimensional relief map of Iceland open to visitors. The lakeside location links it to the surrounding parks and the historic streets nearby, and the interior often hosts exhibitions and events.
