KODE Art Museums

KODE spans a group of buildings around Bergen's central lake and ranks among the largest museums for art, craft and design in Scandinavia. Its collections range from old masters and Norwegian romantic landscapes to a significant holding of works by Edvard Munch and a decorative-arts department with silver and Chinese ceramics. Several composer villas outside the city are administered as part of the institution. Rotating exhibitions and the lakeside setting make it a central fixture of the city's cultural life.
