The Museum für Gestaltung is Switzerland's leading museum of design and visual communication, built around a vast collection of graphic design, posters, applied art and industrial objects. Its historic home is a functionalist building of the 1930s, complemented by exhibition space in a former brewery in the Toni-Areal. Rotating shows examine typography, furniture, photography and the Swiss poster tradition for which the country is famous. The archive is a reference point for designers far beyond the city.
