Escher in Het Paleis

Housed in a former royal palace on the Lange Voorhout, this museum is devoted to the graphic artist M. C. Escher, known for his impossible constructions and optical illusions. The permanent display traces his career from early landscapes to the mind-bending prints that made his name, explaining the mathematics behind them. The upper floors feature interactive rooms that let visitors step into distorted, forced-perspective scenes. The palace interiors, with chandeliers reimagined as playful artworks, add to the experience.
