L'Umbracle

This landscaped promenade forms part of the City of Arts and Sciences complex, sheltered beneath a series of soaring white arches that filter the intense Mediterranean sunlight. Designed as a raised garden walk, it is planted with palms, aromatic shrubs, and species native to the region alongside contemporary sculpture. From its elevated position, visitors overlook the reflecting pools and futuristic buildings of the wider complex. The airy structure serves as both a garden and a shaded viewing gallery for the striking architecture below.
