This late eighteenth-century palace beside Piazza Navona was among the last built for a papal family and now houses the Museum of Rome, devoted to the city's art and daily life from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century. Its collection includes paintings, sculpture, costumes, photographs, and topographical views that document how Rome looked and lived across the centuries. A grand marble staircase lined with ancient statues leads to the exhibition floors.
