Killesbergpark is a landscaped hillside park in northern Stuttgart, created for a national garden show in 1939 on the grounds of a former quarry. Its rolling lawns, flower gardens, and terraced ponds fill the old excavation basins, and a narrow-gauge miniature railway carries visitors on a loop through the greenery. A slender steel observation tower with spiralling walkways rises above the treetops, offering wide views over the city and vineyards. The park also includes animal enclosures and a wildflower meadow for families and walkers.
