Crowning a broad flight of steps above a landscaped square near the Gare du Nord, this church presents a solemn classical facade framed by twin towers. Built in the first half of the 19th century, it is dedicated to the charitable saint Vincent de Paul, whose life inspired the surrounding institutions. The interior is distinguished by a long painted frieze of saints processing above the nave and by richly coloured decoration. Its raised terrace and formal gardens give the ensemble a monumental presence.
