Moored on the Thames between London Bridge and Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast is a Second World War light cruiser preserved as a floating branch of the Imperial War Museum. Launched in 1938, she took part in the sinking of the German battleship Scharnhorst and supported the D-Day landings, later seeing service in Korea. Nine decks are open to explore, from cramped mess quarters and boiler rooms to the bridge and gun turrets, giving a vivid sense of life aboard a wartime warship.
