A former Canal Zone company town at the point where the Chagres River meets the Panama Canal, now surrounded by protected rainforest. It serves as the base for the Pipeline Road birding hotspot, an aerial tram, and boat trips to monkey-inhabited islands on Gatun Lake. Sloths and agoutis wander between the old wooden canal-era houses.
