Fort Charlotte (Saint Vincent)

A British fortress completed in the early nineteenth century on a 180-metre ridge west of Kingstown, unusually built with its guns facing inland against Carib resistance rather than seaward threats. The ramparts give sweeping views over the capital, the leeward coast, and the Grenadines chain to the south.
