Beach resort village on the northwest corner of Schouwen-Duiveland, backed by kilometers of wide sand and dune reserves. Known for a lively summer scene popular with young visitors, it also has a quieter side in the moated Slot Moermond castle and the surrounding polder cycling network. Outside high season the long beach is largely empty and good for walking.
