Moated castle between Domburg and Oostkapelle, first recorded in the 13th century as a possession of Middelburg Abbey. Burned during the Eighty Years' War and rebuilt, it later served as a summer residence and convalescent home, and today houses a hostel amid the wooded dunes. The grounds, ponds, and surrounding estate forest are freely walkable and connect to coastal hiking paths.
