Ninstints, also known as SGang Gwaay Llnagaay, is an abandoned Haida village site on the southern tip of Anthony Island in Haida Gwaii, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. The site preserves the largest concentration of standing mortuary and memorial poles remaining in situ in the world, weathering gradually amid the encroaching temperate rainforest. Access requires a permit and a multi-hour boat crossing from the nearest settled island, making visits rare and carefully managed.
