The Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, also known as the Kiarong Mosque, is the largest mosque in Brunei, completed in 1994 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Sultan's reign. Its 29 golden domes and four minarets are set within extensive formal gardens and reflecting pools in the Gadong district of Bandar Seri Begawan, and the complex can accommodate up to 5,000 worshippers. The mosque is illuminated at dusk, making the period around sunset one of the most productive times for exterior photography.
