Sentosa is an island resort off Singapore's southern coast, connected to the mainland by a causeway and cable car, combining three beach stretches — Siloso, Palawan, and Tanjong — with theme parks, hotels, and historical landmarks from the British fortification era. Fort Siloso preserves coastal gun emplacements and a recreated prisoner-of-war camp interpreting Singapore's fall in 1942. The Palawan Beach footbridge leads to a small islet marked as the southernmost point of continental Asia.
