Fort Siloso is a preserved coastal artillery fort on the western tip of Sentosa island, the only such fort in Singapore to survive largely intact. Built by the British in the late 19th century to guard the harbour approaches, it retains gun emplacements, tunnels, barracks, and searchlight positions. Wartime displays and figures recount the island's role in the fall of Singapore and the years of occupation. A skywalk and elevated bridge give visitors views over the sea and forest as they explore the batteries.
