Covering the hillsides of South Jeolla Province in a carpet of brilliant green, the tea plantations around Boseong produce the majority of South Korea's domestic green tea crop. The contoured rows of waist-height bushes, radiating across undulating terrain and occasionally shrouded in morning mist, are a distinctive photographic subject. Boardwalk paths cut through the plantations and lead to hilltop viewpoints.
