Namche Bazaar is a horseshoe-shaped market town at 3,440 metres in the Khumbu region, serving as the main resupply and acclimatisation hub for trekkers on the route to Everest Base Camp. The town's Saturday market draws Tibetan traders and local Sherpa villagers from surrounding settlements. A short morning hike above the town offers a celebrated view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam, best seen before cloud builds in mid-morning.
