Ranthambore National Park is one of India's premier tiger reserves, covering 1,334 square kilometres of dry deciduous forest, lakes, and ruins in the Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. The park's tigers are unusually habituated to vehicles and are more reliably observed here than in most other reserves in the subcontinent. Three large interconnected lakes — Padam Talao, Malik Talao, and Raj Bagh Talao — attract crocodile, deer, and birds and provide picturesque reflective settings for wildlife photography.
