Hadimba Temple, also known as Dhungiri Temple, is a sixteenth-century wooden pagoda shrine dedicated to the goddess Hadimba, set in a dense deodar cedar forest in Manali. The four-tiered roof of carved wood and stone, rising to a conical top adorned with brass finials, is among the finest examples of the hill-state timber-and-stone architectural tradition. The forest floor around the temple is covered with ferns and wildflowers and creates a cool, shaded enclosure for the small but ornate sanctuary.
