A quiet Berber village set in a verdant valley in the foothills of the High Atlas, roughly 60 kilometres south of Marrakesh. The area is characterized by walnut and almond orchards, a reservoir lake, and access to mule trails leading into the higher peaks. It provides a low-key alternative base for trekkers who prefer to avoid the crowds of Imlil while remaining close to Marrakesh. Spring wildflowers and almond blossoms make the valley particularly photogenic between February and April.
